"Myanmar ship" stranded on Surin Island

On 16 June 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Phuacharoen, Chief of Surin Islands National Park, revealed the progress of the rescue operation and coral reef restoration. The team is still accelerating the mission continuously after the Myanmar cargo ship "MV AYAR LINN" had an accident and ran aground on the coral reef in Ao Jak, inside Surin Islands National Park since 1 June.
